World of Frozen officially opens at Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort just marked a historic moment with the grand opening of World of Frozen, the world’s first Frozen-themed land! Set to officially welcome visitors on November 20, this enchanting addition offers two exciting attractions – Frozen Ever After and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, along with a wide array of shops, food options, and more!

Prior to the grand opening, Hong Kong Disneyland’s cast members enjoyed exclusive previews, exploring the new land and its attractions. They journeyed to the North Mountain on Frozen Ever After and glided through enchanting forests on Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs. The Golden Crocus Inn also offered them a taste of its new delicacies.
The grand opening was a spectacular celebration. Central Arendelle saw Oaken and Kristoff, alongside Hong Kong Disneyland Ambassadors, begin the festivities. The celebration was graced by notable guests like Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, Jennifer Lee, the Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Josh D’Amaro, Chairperson of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts
Iger highlighted the Frozen franchise’s success and Disney’s century-long commitment to storytelling. D’Amaro emphasized the collaboration between Disney Imagineers and Disney Animation to bring this immersive experience to life.
The highlight of the evening was Elsa’s magical summoning of Olaf, who alongside Anna proclaimed the gates of Arendelle as officially open. Drones lit up the sky, creating mesmerizing patterns inspired by the beloved movies, further encapsulating the magic of Disney.
