Anthony Mackie and MrBeast Join Forces for Wishes Assemble at Disneyland
The Disneyland Resort recently served as the ultimate headquarters for the historic “Wishes Assemble” event, a groundbreaking collaboration with Make-A-Wish that brought Avengers-inspired dreams to life. In a first-of-its-kind experience, nearly 40 wish kids were “recruited” into the ranks of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, spending a high-octane day alongside Marvel stars Anthony Mackie and Paul Bettany, as well as digital superstar MrBeast.

In a powerful celebration of a 45-year partnership, nearly 40 Make-A-Wish families were “recruited” to the Disneyland Resort for this historic assembly. The event served as the cornerstone of Disney Week of Wishes, honoring over four decades of a shared mission between The Walt Disney Company and the Make-A-Wish Foundation to bring hope and happiness to children when they need it most.

The Wishes Assemble festivities kicked off with a creative twist as wish kids attended a professional comic book art lesson to master the art of drawing Spider-Man. The room was filled with excitement when Anthony Mackie, the MCU’s Captain America, made a heroic surprise entrance! Mackie didn’t arrive empty-handed, gifting each child their very own Hasbro Captain America action figure.
The highlight of the morning was a heartwarming one-on-one encounter between Mackie and 9-year-old Coen, whose ultimate wish was to meet his favorite Super Hero. The duo took their mission to the next level by heading over to California Adventure to ride Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! together, proving that even a Captain needs a little help from the Guardians now and then.

Throughout the day, the Wishes Assemble event transformed the Disneyland Resort into a playground of personalized heroics. Digital icon MrBeast brought his high-energy style to the park, leading a high-stakes scavenger hunt before welcoming families to his signature Beast Games. Meanwhile, NASA engineer turned creator Mark Rober turned the roof of Avengers Headquarters into a laboratory for an epic, hands-on egg drop experiment that blended science with Super Hero training.

The park was packed with interactive zones designed by the world’s top creators:
- The Dude Perfect Fan Zone: Kids tackled themed trick-shot stations and competitive challenges.
- Gaming Headquarters: PrestonPlayz and Clix hosted private sessions of Fortnite and Minecraft before joining the kids to battle Spider-Bots on WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure.
- Spooky Storytime: Sam & Colby teamed up with the chaotic Agatha Harkness for a series of mysterious tales.
- YouTube Creator Corner: In a special collaboration, YouTube and MrBeast’s team hosted a lounge where kids could design their own viral thumbnails and receive a custom memento award.

The day culminated in a private, after-hours celebration at Avengers Campus, topped off by a surprise appearance from Paul Bettany (Vision). To ensure the magic followed them home, Disney Consumer Products and partners like LEGO, Hasbro, Funko, and Corkcicle showered families with curated gear. From hotel room surprises to custom attire and action figures, every detail was designed to help these new “recruits” continue their adventures through imagination long after leaving the resort.
