This year, Disney World celebrates the 15th anniversary of its “Wild About Safety” program, which guides Guests in following park rules and refraining from dangerous behaviors in the parks. The program is the product of a partnership between Disney Parks and Universal Laboratories (UL).
Disney World offers these adorable tip cards to Guests in the parks. The cards feature Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King. In celebration of the safety program’s 15th anniversary, Disney has retired some old card designs and replaced them with new tip cards, featuring tips about some of the most common behaviors and actions in the parks, such as standing up during a ride, sitting on the ropes in the queue and not using enough sun protection.
This cute new card encourages Guests to enjoy the sun safely by wearing a hat and sunglasses and using sunscreen. It’s a bonus card with a scratch-n-sniff feature to it!
Aren’t these cute?
The cards are based on the premise that information shared in a fun and interesting way is memorable. On each card, Timon and Pumbaa are up to their silly antics, and they learn about the consequences of their actions.
