D23 is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Gingerbread House tradition at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

The best part is that D23 Gold Members are invited to join the celebration. On Saturday, December 15, D23 will host the Grand Gingerbread Workshop. Attendees will build and decorate a gingerbread house in the company of a member of the Walt Disney World Bakery Team.

Guests will get a behind-the-scenes look at how the life-size gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian comes together. They will also learn about how other holiday treats at Walt Disney World are made.

Tickets will go on sale on October 15. Gold Members and their family members are invited to purchase either a Gingerbread Workshop Pass or Family Pass. The Gingerbread Workshop Pass costs $225 and includes admission for one D23 Gold Member and up to one guest, an exclusive gingerbread house kit baked by Disney’s Bakery Team, two D23 exclusive travel mugs and two custom-created D23 gifts that were made specifically for this event. The Family Pass costs $350 and includes admission for one D23 Gold Member and up to three guests, along with a gingerbread house kit two travel mugs and two gifts. Both passes also include treats and hot cocoa.

Due to the nature of the event, only guests ages 3 and up will be permitted to participate, and no video recording will be allowed. Check-in for the event begins at 12:30 p.m. on the day of the event at the Grand Floridian’s Convention Center. The event begins at 1:00 p.m. and will last approximately two hours.
