This cupcake has a vanilla cake base and an ooey gooey pineapple center. It is decorated beautifully with an out of this world orange buttercream, toasted coconut shavings, white chocolate circle for garnish and flavored macarons. Mine was topped with a delightful raspberry macaron. It was the perfect crown for this gorgeous dessert.

Each month Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort adds a new scrumptious cupcake to their already incredible lineup of sweet treats like the Minnie Mouse iridescent cupcakes and the new peanut butter pie. August does NOT disappoint let me tell you! That first bite makes you feel like you are laying in a hammock on the beach watching the waves roll in. July had a “similar” type macaron cupcake but the Tropical Iridescent Macaron Cupcakes are in a league of their own. I thoroughly enjoyed the orange buttercream (I am slightly obsessed with icing). It is a fun twist from the traditional buttercream flavors like vanilla. Such a sweet note to say goodbye to summer on!
