According to a Facebook post from the Actors’ Equity Association, the union has agreed that Walt Disney World Resort performers can return to work. The Actors’ Equity Association represents performers at Walt Disney World has been in talks with Disney about performers working when the parks reopened.

Take a look at their post below:

“We have been consistent that testing is an important part of ensuring a safe workplace for Equity performers, and today, I’m pleased to see that Disney World has agreed,” said Kate Shindle, President of Actors’ Equity Association, in a press release. “With the news that Disney will make testing available for Equity performers and others in the park, I’m happy to announce that Equity’s executive committee has signed a memorandum of understanding with Disney for Equity performers to return.”

This news comes after Disney announced that COVID-19 testing is now available for Cast Members and their families. COVID-19 testing is very important to the Actors’ Equity Association.

It may be possible for certain shows like Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: The Musical to resume at the Walt Disney World theme parks.
