So what does this mean for WandaVision? Though we do not have a formal release date, we do know the new Marvel Series coming to Disney+ will be premiering in 2020 instead of the previously announced Spring 2021. Likely, the series will premiere in the Fall or Late Winter of 2020 since it has been reported by multiple outlets that the series will tie into the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and likely Marvel won’t want to share anything too revealing for the film that far in advance from the films release date in theaters set for May 7, 2021.
It has been confirmed by Marvel Studios that Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff) is slated to have a major role in the sequel to Doctor Strange.
The Series will star Paul Bettany (Vision), Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch), Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis, from Thor), Randall Park (Agent Jimmy Woo from Ant-Man and The Wasp), Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau from Captain Marvel), and Kathryn Hahn, in an unannounced role. Rumored to be appearing in the series is Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.
WandaVision is said to feature Vision and Wanda Maximoff in “an idealistic setting” for the pair, but not everything is as wonderful as it appears. The show will exclusively stream on Disney+ and will be one of the first Marvel Series considered to be completely in-line with the MCU.
