The parks at the Walt Disney World Resort have reopened, however, there are still some closures. Whether it’s rides, restaurants, or attractions, we have the current list of all closures and refurbishments at the resort.
The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, Liberty Square Riverboat, Tom Sawyer Island, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are all getting refurbishments this fall. The PeopleMover is closed at least until November 28. Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island are set to close tomorrow and a reopening date has not been announced. They most likely won’t reopen until 2021. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is scheduled for enhancements but no date has been announced yet.
Here’s a current list of the Disney World ride refurbishment and closures for October:
- Liberty Square Riverboat – October 5, 2020 to January 2021
- Tom Sawyer Island – October 5, 2020 to January 2021
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover – Closed Through At Least November 28, 2020
- Walt Disney World Railroad – Reopening TBD (Likely Late 2021)
