The Walt Disney World Railroad has been closed since 2018, it looks like guests who are fans of this classic attraction are going to have to wait even longer to ride the train around the Magic Kingdom.

The refurbishment of the Walt Disney Railroad now extends out to January 5th, 2022 on the Disney World Website. Work is being done on the Fantasyland train stations with Tron Lightcycle Run taking over much of the area where the train track runs.
While at Magic Kingdom last week the Main Street USA train station looked as if it was complete, well at least the platform, and we saw crews working on the Frontierland station.

I have a feeling the date for the Walt Disney World Railroad is going to be pushed even further as the train is unable to go through the Tron area till most of the outside of the ride is complete. Disney still needs to build a tunnel through the attraction for the train to go through…
