Villains Lair at Top of the World Lounge dining review. Just reopened, and rethemed lounge in Disney’s DVC resort at The Contemporary, Bay Lake Tower’s Top of the World Villians Lair Lounge was both a simple joy, yet spectacular, and totally enjoyable. The food choices are themed well, and the staff is truly fun and helpful to the Villan theme.

With simple offerings like pretzels with stone ground mustard, flatbread, and also including charcuterie boards, and shrimp alongside port sliders. We enjoyed each one, with standouts being the sliders and the giant pretzel.

What stands out is the drink selection. Each drink is well-themed and the devil is in the details with the cocktails. From drinks for adults, all the way to the mocktails, each one felt like someone spent time pairing these well.

We had The Other Side, and the Cursed Pirate, and let me tell you they were not overly alcoholic flavors, but snuck up on you after a few sips. Very pleasant. You can see the images below.

Overall, if you are a DVC member with the plus benefits, Go! If not for the Villain theming, then go for the spectacular view of the Magic Kingdom, and the nighttime fireworks.

Villains Lair

Discover the untold story of this covert hideout for some of Disney’s most dastardly villains. Even the ruthless relax.

Whether pursuing puppies or stealing souls, messing with a mermaid or belittling a beast, evil-doing is exhausting. And since a dishonest day’s work is frowned upon by mainstream masses, the deliciously devious decompress away from judging eyes––hiding deep underground… or on top of the world. Swapping stories of sabotage and toasting with tales of terror, the unsavory unwind in places inaccessible to the innocent.

So, when our own Top of the World Lounge temporarily closed its doors atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, it didn’t take long for the idle enclave to become a devils’ playground. We’re not sure how they got here (we can only guess by monorail), but we do know they were here. For when we returned to reopen this picturesque place to mingling Members, we found stuff left behind by these hustlers in a hurry.

Curious couture from their wicked wardrobes. Artwork befitting their ghastly galleries. And rebellious recipes for their cunning concoctions. That’s when we did what so many great Cast Members have done before us.

Villains Lair

We gave the place a longer name. Welcome home to the Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair. Like the best Disney stories, it’s a place of magic… with a touch of tragic.
