Recently “It’s a small world” ride broke down in Walt Disney World, leaving guests stranded for over an hour. Reports online indicate the reason the attraction was stuck for over an hour is due to one of the boats sinking.
User hazeysmom22 posted a quick little video on TikTok
The video shows the possible sinking boat which caused guests to be stuck for over an hour. While I love It’s a small world I couldn’t imagine being stuck on the fan-favorite attraction for that long.

This is not the first time one of the water rides at Walt Disney World has sank. Earlier this year one of the boats on Splash Mountain sank as well.
“it’s a small world” was created for the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair. Personally overseen by Walt Disney in support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the attraction was a huge hit. After 2 seasons there, it was shipped to Disneyland park, where it opened on May 28, 1966.
In 1971, “it’s a small world” was recreated to become one of the Opening Day attractions at Walt Disney World Resort. Due to its immense popularity, the attraction has been replicated at many Disney theme parks around the world and is considered a Walt Disney masterpiece.
