Update On Disney Skyliner Construction At Epcot’s International Gateway

The new Disney Skyliner was announced last summer at the D23 Expo and everyone has been anxiously awaiting it’s completion. This new transportation system will give guests a bird eye view as they are carried in fun themed gondolas from select resorts to select parks. The Disney Skyliner stations and towers have been popping up all the Walt Disney World lately so here is the latest from the Epcot station located at the International Gateway in the World Showcase.

The towers have been up for a while but now we are seeing the inner workings of the top of the station come to life. You can easily see the turn stiles within the top that will serve as the turnaround point at Epcot.

For those who don’t know, this new Skyliner system will work similarly to a chair lift at a ski resort. Guests will board the gondolas at designed stations, ride in the air to their destination, and step off at that next station.

Epcot’s International Gateway and Hollywood Studios will be connected via the Disney Skyliner to the following resorts: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and the new Disney Vacation Club Riviera Resort, scheduled for completion late next year.

Who else is incredibly excited to ride on a Disney gondola to the parks?
