Two Interactive Magicband + Experiences Announced including Star Wars Bounty Hunters and Disney’s Fab 50 Quest. We finally have a word about some of the amazing things coming as part of the release of Magicband + taking place early this summer here at Walt Disney World. Seriously, I don’t think I could be more excited. As a Star Wars fan, and a Disney Fan. We get to be Bounty Hunters and help Tinkerbell all with 1 amazing Magicband +.
Also, we now have some new images of some of the different variations of bands. From basic colors to the amazing Disney World 50th Anniversary band. Two Interactive Magicband + Experiences –
Let’s start with the new Disney Fab 50 Golden Statue Quest to help Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell has left a little bit of pixie dust in your Magicband + and has asked you to find her friends around Walt Disney World Parks. She will help guide you, by using the Disney Play app, to find the next Fab 50 Gold Statue on the list. Once you find her friends, your new band will interact with the statue itself, by speaking or talking directly to you! (How cool is that?) Once, you have interacted with the statue, Tink will lead you to the next statue.
Once you have completed a statue and are using the Play App, it will keep a checklist of all the statues you have interacted with. You can gain achievements by finishing individual parks or completing all of the 4 parks. Disney has assured us that you do NOT need to have the Play app to experience the interaction with the statues. Find out more in the IG post below.
The second of the Two Interactive Magicband + Experiences announced is the Star Wars Batuu Bounty Hunters Guild.
In this new experience over at Star Wars Galaxies Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you will sign up with the Batuu Bounty Hunters Guild. Once complete you will find a “Job Board” where you will be able to select your target. Using the new Magicband +, it will play a game of Hot or Cold and lead you towards your bounty. As the old kid game is played the closer you get the faster the band will pulse and glow, and the further away the more the color will change.
Furthermore, once you have tracked your bounty to its location, you will then be able to use the Disney Play App, to scan the location or door, and find your bounty. Upon completion, you will return to the Bounty Hunters Guild and receive your payment.
