Tony Baxter would love to see a Figment Movie & an update to Journey to Imagination

Would you like to see a movie featuring Epcot’s Figment? Tony Baxter is hoping we can see the imaginative dragon get a film dedicated to the beloved character.

Tony Baxter worked for Disney for more than forty years. His list of projects includes popular attractions such as Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Star Tours. He’s also contributed to Journey into Imagination and the “Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye” attraction in Disneyland. Baxter was inducted as a Disney Legend in 2013.

Legendary Disney Imagineer, Tony Baxter, recently expressed such an interest in Figment’s ride. Over the years, Tony has contributed many classic designs and rides to the legacy of Disney Parks. He says he is willing to return to work if he could redo Epcot’s Journey into Imagination. He also discusses the possibility of Figment getting the star treatment in movies. Figment has a loyal Disney fan base, so a movie would delight many.

It’s certainly interesting to see Tony Baxter is thinking about how a redo of Figment’s attraction is necessary. Unfortunately, there’s no such plans to touch upon this Epcot ride at the moment. But the notion of an update is certainly wishful thinking for Disney fans given Tony’s history with the company. After all, it’s confirmed that Tony Baxter is partly contributing to the retheming of Splash Mountain.
