Spider-Man: No Way Home is filled with familiar faces, but one of the biggest fan theories was confirmed with the appearance of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock to help Peter through his legal troubles after the reveal of his name by Mysterio and The Daily Bugle. During an interview with Marvel.com, Tom Holland and Zendaya shared input on working with Charlie, stating:
“We had so much fun working with Charlie. It’s really interesting doing a scene between two Super Heroes that has no real Super Hero stuff in it. Apart from the bit when he catches the brick. It was awesome.” Zendaya added, “I didn’t get to be there… I was there for the behind-the-scenes watching you guys. But I didn’t get to be in it.” Holland concluded, “But it was great. I loved working with Charlie.”

Charlie’s return comes merely weeks after Marvel Studios CCO and President Kevin Feige shared that “when” Daredevil/Matt Murdock joins the MCU the only actor it could be is Charlie Cox. Luckily we didn’t have to wait long for this to become a reality! With the appearance of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin in the Hawkeye series, we had a feeling it wouldn’t take too long for Daredevil to return.
Reportedly, Matt Murdock and potentially Jessica Jones will be featured in the She-Hulk series starring Tatiana Maslany coming soon to Disney+. Are you excited to see Charlie Cox return as Daredevil? Were you surprised to see Matt Murdock as Peter Parker’s lawyer in Spider-Man: No Way Home? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
