‘Tinker Bell’ Series Coming to Disney From Gary Marsh’s New Production Studio. Off the bat, we just want to establish that this project is currently unrelated to the upcoming Disney+ Original Movie Peter Pan & Wendy. With that being said, get excited lost boys and fairy factions! Tinker Bell is officially getting her own series and will be one of the first projects under the new production banner by Gary Marsh. Though an official studio name has yet to be announced for the production company, the new Tinker Bell series has been confirmed to be named “Tink.”

The news was shared along with Gary Marsh’s resignation as President and Chief Creative Officer of Disney Branded Television, a position he held with The Walt Disney Company for 33 years, along with his excitement to branch out and produce content for Disney+, Hulu, Disney Channel, FX, Freeform, ABC, National Geographic, and Disney Jr. with his to-be-named production company.

Though the original idea for Tink was to be a live-action film, originally casting Elizabeth Banks in 2010 then Reese Witherspoon in 2015, and rumored casting of Margot Robbie in 2019, in the titular role of Tinker Bell, it is currently unknown if the new series will be live-action or animated and if the series will be exclusive to Disney+ or potentially featured on one of Disney’s television platforms.
