Tim Allen Says Religion Will Play a Big Part in ‘The Santa Clauses’ Disney+ Series
The upcoming ‘The Santa Clauses‘ Disney+ original series will follow the misadventures of Scott Calvin and The Calvin-Claus’s as they navigate Scott’s retirement as Santa Claus and return to “life south of the pole”. This proves to be more difficult than intended since both Buddy (Austin Kane) and Sandra (Elizabeth Allen-Dick) were raised at the North Pole and away from their older brother Charlie (and other humans). The Calvin Family is quickly called back to the North Pole after Elves begin to disappear and the new Santa needs help!

Tim Allen recently spoke with TheWrap during a virtual interview and shared that ‘The Santa Clauses‘ will return to the root of the holiday season, Religion.

Allen shared with TheWrap that the series “originally had a lot of otherworldly characters, and ghosts, and goblins. I said no, this is Christ-mas. Its Christ-mas. It literally is a religious holiday. We don’t have to blow trumpets, but I do want you to acknowledge it. That’s what this is about. If you want to get into Santa Claus, you’re gonna have to go back to history, and it’s all about religion.”
