The Plaza has a New Menu

Tucked away in a little corner of Main Street USA stands The Plaza, an iconic restaurant that offers unparalleled views of Cinderella Castle. This Magic Kingdom original has been delighting guests since 1971 and through the years has seen many changes. It wasn’t long ago that The Plaza began serving breakfast, which was a very welcome change indeed. More recently,  another change has come to this beautiful turn of the century styled eatery. The location is boasting a new menu and though some favorites have returned it is also hosting a line up of all new delicious things to try!

Plaza new menu

The appetizers haven’t changed much at all. Fans will be pleased to know that both their ever-popular wedge salad and their signature Plaza Loaded Fries have made the cut and are returning to the menu. However the menu also now includes Lobster Fried Green Tomatoes which we are sure will be a hit! For entrees, we are pleased to report that the Baked Honey BBQ Brisket Mac and Cheese has returned! It is one of the more unique menu items and definitely worth a try if you’ve never had it. A selection of new salads have been added as has a Smoked Pork Chop! Yum! That is definitely on my must-try list on my next visit!

Plaza Shake

The dessert menu hasn’t changed so sweets lovers can rest easy. Your favorite ice cream sundaes and treats are still available and best of all you’ll still be able to get one of their signature shakes (and they are still bottomless)!

Though it is small in comparison to other WDW restaurants, reservations at the Plaza are usually relatively easy to come by and same day reservations are typically not a problem. This often overlooked restaurant truly is a gem and we love the care being taken to ensure it stays that way for years to come.  Are you excited by the new menu additions? Which items are on your must-try list?
