Hollywood Studios has been stepping up their spooky treat game recently. We just told you about the brand new Poison Apple Mousse and today we have another festive dessert. The Candy Corn Verrine is now available.
The trick part of this Halloween treat is that it has absolutely no candy corn flavor at all. The Candy Corn part is just for looks. The cake layer is a vanilla cake with orange food coloring. The big surprise was the custard, we were not expecting it to be lemon. Now I’m usually a huge fan of lemon but this was super tart. The sweetness of the cake and whipped cream didn’t help much with that overpowering flavor.
This new festive treat can be found inside the Sunset Ranch dining area at Catalina Eddie’s. It’s a decent size and for $4.99 plus tax or a dining plan snack credit not a bad price. The Candy Corn Verrine won’t be around long so get it before it’s gone!
