The ‘Harry Potter’ Films Are No Longer Available on Streaming Services. This year the Harry Potter 8-film series has been jumping port key to port key, I mean, streaming service to streaming service, as contract agreements begin to run out for the iconic movies. Though individual streaming service have been available for some time, 2019-2020 has seen the arrival of several big name services including: Disney+ (Disney), AppleTV+ (Apple), HBO Max (Warner Bros), and Peacock (NBCUniversal).
Initially the 8-film series was introduced to HBO Max until October rolled around and an existing agreement with NBC forced the films to make the move to Peacock for the entire month of October. As of Nov 1st, additional contracts currently have the Harry Potter films slated for networked television use by NBCUniversal’s Syfy and USA cable networks, meaning the films are temporarily no where to be found on any streaming services.
It is expected that after the films run their course through the remaining contracts, all 8 Harry Potter movies will find a more permanent home on Warner Bros. HBO Max streaming service.
