New Harry Potter RPG Game Called ‘Hogwarts Legacy‘ Coming in 2021. Harry Potter fans are in for a magical surprise! Portkey Games has officially announced an all-new role playing game called Hogwarts Legacy that allows fans of the films and book to explore Hogwarts LONG before the legend of Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore, Tom Riddle, and even Newt Scamander! Currently, the game is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC platforms sometime in 2021.

Rumors had been swirling for months, but the news was confirmed this week via social media by Wizarding World, Portkey Games, and Avalanche in a post that featured the all-new game trailer and the caption: “Live the unwritten in [Hogwarts Legacy].”

“Experience Hogwarts in the 1800s,” a preview of the game from the Warner Bros. site said. “Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. You have received a late acceptance to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and soon discover that you are no ordinary student: you possess an unusual ability to perceive and master Ancient Magic. Only you can decide if you will protect this secret for the good of all, or yield to the temptation of more sinister magic.”
