If you like musical theater, then this class from Outschool is perfect for you! The Greatest Spectacular Online is a 6 session class where students will learn a dance routine and one musical theater solo.
This course is focus on beginner and intermediate levels of theater, music or dance. Take a look at you will learn through the 6 weeks:
Week 1: Intro to Musical Theater
- What is musical theater?
- Listen to 2 songs for the class
- Create goals
- Start choreography for “The Greatest Show” (if time allows)
Week 2: Choreography for “The Greatest Show”Â
- Warms ups
- Learning the choreography
Week 3: Finish “The Greatest Show”
- Warm ups
- Finish and review the choreography learned
- Introduce “A million dreams”
Week 4: Vocalization
- Vocal warm ups
- Sing through the song
- Write out interpretations of the song
- Apply emotion
Week 5: Review
- Vocal and physical warm ups
- Watch students perform vocal pieces individually
- Review “The Greatest Show”
Week 6: Showtime!Â
- Watch recorded performances of each student
- Applications from the course
- Learn 1 bonus dance if time allows
