It’s time again for the Chip and Company Disney Week In Review. Here we will try to provide you a sampling of the Disney news for this week and a taste of the views and opinions of our outstanding staff of writers. - The fairies are going back home. As of July 28 the fairies will return to the Magic Kingdom from their temporary home at Epcot. The details are in this article but just so you know their “permanent” temporary home will be at the Adventureland Veranda.
- For all of you D23 members and potential members, the arena schedule for the August 19-21 Expo 2011 has been announced. All of the details are located here so if you are going to be in Anaheim have a wonderful time.
- Attention all Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge fans, there is a new dining adventure to be had. You can now Dine With A Disney Animal Specialist At Sanaa In Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Click the link to read about details and pricing.
- Kids of all ages who are addicted to Phineas and Ferb, good news. You will be thrilled to know that Phineas And Ferb merchandise is coming to the Disney Parks. You can get the details and see pictures of some of the merchandise right here.
- Disneyland Resort fans with visual challenges will be pleased to know that the Audio Description Technology that has been at the resort since 2009 is being enhanced to also describe various outdoor locations as well as the information on the attractions. The specifics are included in this article.
- Disney, Johnny Depp, and Jerry Bruckheimer have done it again. In the short time it has been out the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides episode of the “Pirates” saga has topped the Billion (with a B) dollar mark worldwide. You can get all of the information if you click on this link.
- It seems that there are a lot of “runners” in the Disney fanatic community. Members of the running community you will be excited to know that the 2012 Disney’s Princess Half Marathon Weekend Registration is Now Open. It’s time to get serious about training because the weekend happens February 24-26-2012. Time’s a’wastin!!!
- Once again, Steve Harvey will be holding his Disney’s Dreamers Academy next year. Nominations for the 2012 academy are now open so if you have an interest please read this article and go for it!!!
- DVC Members and other fans of the Saratoga Springs Resort will be happy to know that the new themed pool is now open. If you look at Paddock Pool Opens At Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa you can find out just what the new pool has to offer.
