Texas judge attempts to lure Disney from Florida to Lone Star State

A Fort Bend County judge is attempting to lure Disney from Florida to Texas after Governor DeSantis signed the bill to dissolve Disney’s Reedy Creek Improvement District when the bill passed both the House and Senate last week.

Here is the post from KP George the Fort Bend County judge from Texas.

As the Chief Executive of Fort Bend County, the nation’s most diverse and fastest-growing community, I formally invite Walt Disney World and Twitter to establish their business in Fort Bend County in the Lone Star State. Especially while they face authoritarian, anti-business, and culture war attacks from extremists in Florida.

In Fort Bend, Disney and Twitter would be welcomed with open arms — and a top-notch workforce ready to fire up your businesses and our economy:

🎓 High Graduation Rates

🚂 Strategic location

🇺🇸 Affordable & large available land

👩‍🏭 Skilled Workforce

👨🏽‍👩🏽‍👦🏽 High Quality of Life

💰 Low Taxes

This region in Texas would make an ideal hub for all of your operations — as we are now becoming an attractive destination for important companies from Amazon, Dell, Tesla, HP, SpaceX, and many more. In Fort Bend, you will find a dedicated workforce, pro-business elected officials and a community that uses science, logic, and compassion.

We stand at the ready to welcome you. I invite you to visit Fort Bend County and see for yourself why our community is the best place for your new operations.

The Texas Judge also wrote a letter directly to Bob Chapek, Chairman and CEO of the Walt Disney Company.

The likelihood of Disney packing up from Florida for Texas is very slim. I however would love to see Disney open a new theme park in Texas, maybe then lines at Walt Disney World wouldn’t be so bad.

All of this reminds me of my April Fools Joke from back in 2011 where I said Disney was in talks to expand to Texas. Good times…
