This weekend we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Toy Fair New York! While at the exciting conference we also got to stop by the Funko booth, and check out all of the awesome new Funko Finds that have just released, or are releasing soon! From new Loungefly bags, to fabulous Disney POP!s there is a lot to look forward to!
The Child
Let’s start out with what I know you all want to see, The Child! Funko and Loungefly have a lot of exciting new The Child/Baby Yoda merchandise to look forward to this year. On display were the new jumbo The Child POP!, and regular The Child POP!.
I got to hold The Child in my hands, and it was honestly one of the best moments of my life! I was even wearing the Baby Yoda Spirit Jersey, so it was simply meant to be. In addition to the pops we can also look forward to an assortment of bags inspired by The Child this year too.
Loungefly
A new item coming soon will be Loungefly duffle bags! These are full size duffles with playful Disney prints. I loved the quality of the material, and the zippers seemed very sturdy too.
While the new Cinderella 70th Anniversary collection may already be sold out, they did have it on display at the Toy Fair. I have to admit, the collection is even cuter in person. If you missed out not to worry, you can look forward to this collection coming to BoxLunch soon.
There was also a lot of Marvel Loungefly on display! A friend of mine recently and I were discussing how we wanted Marvel Loungefly bags. We were saying that wished there was more selection, and it looks like our wishes have been granted! One of my favorite details is the “I love you 3000” on the side pocket of the Iron Man bag.
Another favorite was the Loungefly bag based on the suits from Avengers: Endgame.
Star Wars wasn’t left out either! Bags inspired by the light, and the dark were on display. The Rebel Collection definitely takes its inspiration from our favorite rebel princess, Leia. The expandable Imperial bag was also stunning, and had a very subtle character look to it.
While we have seen these three mini backpacks before, these were also back out on display this year. The Disney parks have already done two Spirit Jerseys that match these fabulous bags too: Tatooine and Hoth. I wonder if we’ll see an Endor one in the future too?
There was also a new Ariel collection. This is one of those very subtle character designs as well. The ombre mermaid bags are perfect for DisneyBounding, or even more “serious/grownup” events.
Funko!
The newly announced figures while we were there was the new Soul POP! collection. These are based on the new Pixar movie coming soon to theaters. There were also a few Onward ones available which we have seen on BoxLunch already.
The 70th Anniversary celebration of Cinderella continues with a new Pumpkin Carriage figure. The carriage even comes with two horses!
Speaking of horses, I fell in love with the new Mulan and Khan figure! This was am impressive POP!, that showed off Mulan riding to save the day.
Also revealed were Funko POP!s inspired by the new live action Mulan, which is coming to theaters next month.
Lastly for the Mulan reveals, is the new Jumbo Mushu! He may not be in this form in the new movie, but we can still take him home to display!
We can look forward to new Mickey and Minnie POP!s this year too.
One of the most requested POP! ideas Funko receives, is for Han in Carbonite. It took a lot of designing to bring this one to life, but Funko has successfully created a Han Solo in Carbonite BOBBLE HEAD!
My favorite POP! figure of them all though, was Valkyrie. This POP! is inspired by the scene when Valkyrie rides into battle on her winged stallion in Avengers: Endgame.
