There’s great news for fans of the Netflix Series Stranger Things. Both of the showrunners, the Duffer brothers, promise a future beyond the upcoming fourth season. Many were speculating if the next season would be the final one. But now we know there’s more adventures in store for the kids of Hawkins!
Ross and Matt Duffer won over audiences with their sci-fi drama series when the first season in 2015. The mythology of Stranger Things has grown in the following seasons since then.
“Season four won’t be the end,” Ross said. “We know what the end is, and we know when it is. The pandemic has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story.”
Meanwhile, his brother Matt added to The Hollywood Reporter that the scripts for the upcoming chapter have been completed.
“We’ve had a lot more time to work on the scripts,’ he continued. ‘For the first time, we have all the scripts written and we’re able to look at it as a whole piece and make adjustments.”
Hearing this news is thrilling to fans who worried the show would be ending soon. Now we can expect at least two more seasons to debut on Netflix before we see the show’s finale.
