Rumored: Kylo Ren Spin-Off “In the Works” at Lucasfilm. We know, we know, you probably read the title and went: ” But wait, he died at the end of The Rise of Skywalker!! How will they do a spin-off?” Here me out. It appears Lucasfilm and Disney are not ready to let go of Ben Solo/Kylo Ren’s story just yet.

Rumors online seem to indicate that Lucasfilm is interesting in developing either an animated series or potentially a live-action Star Wars series or film following a younger Ben Solo, before his turn to the Dark Side and name change. Neither Disney or Lucasfilm have confirmed this rumor, but there is a disturbance in the force online that seems to indicate there are at least talks of a new story featuring Ben Solo as the lead character.

The biggest perpetuator of these rumblings is Corey Van Dyke from Kessel Run Transmissions. The KRT host shared, “We’ve heard Ben Solo is a character Lucasfilm wants to further develop. We don’t know if this is a series or movie, but it’s definitely being worked on. We also don’t know if this is pre [The Force Awakens] or post [The Rise of Skywalker], but if we had to guess I’d say pre [The Force Awakens], this is in early development.”

Stranger Things star, Finn Wolfhard, seems to be a huge fan of the idea, and has even begun pitching the idea of him portraying a young Ben Solo either in a new film or series. Wolfhard even put out an open invitation for Disney to hire him for the role in a recent interview with GQ. There is a striking resemblance between Finn and Adam Driver, so if the series is in discussion at the studios we very well could see Wolfhard as Ben Solo wielding a lightsaber under the direction of Luke Skywalker!
