I hate when anything at Disney closes, but I understand they have to change with the times.
First up on the chopping block is, Wyland Galleries (closed Dec 3, 2013) which is located at the Polynesian Resort. They sold artwork, sculptures, etc. My daughter and I used to love taking a stroll through that store. Their location at the Boardwalk Resort will still be open.
Next is, Heritage House which is the gift shop for the Hall of Presidents. This location will close Jan 4, 2014.
Last but certainly not least is The Seven Dwarfs Mine Shop, also closing Jan 4, 2014. This was the gift shop to Snow White’s Scary Adventure in Fantasyland.
It has not been said yet what will happen with these locations but I image Disney has something fun up their sleeves.
Wishing you Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust

Its funny how we all hate it when things close (rides, shops, etc) in Disney parks, but at the same time it’s one of the key things Walt expected his parks to do. To change over time, to basically be living, growing entities changing with new entertainment and taking advantage of new technologies.
I was just there at the Polynesian, last week, the art shop is still open…I did see Wyland items.
I too hate to see some of the old things close at Disney, but I’m sure they will fill the space with something as good or better….. you know, another Star-yucks or something like that.
