There are so many wonderful places to eat in WDW that narrowing down your choices can be hard to do!

Choosing by Park can always help so today we will be spotlighting Table Service Places in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Let’s start with the Buffet in the groupHollywood and Vine~ Here you can dine with Characters like Jake from Disney Junior’s “Jake and the Never Land Pirates”, Agent OSO from “Special Agent OSO” as well as Handy Manny, and June from “Little Einstein’s”. Now keep in mind the Characters are only here for Breakfast and Lunch, but Dinner is served here as well. Seasonal Fruit, Fresh Bakes Pastries, Yogurt, Eggs, Breakfast Meats, Mickey Waffles and more  fill the breakfast buffet here! For Lunch and Dinner you will find a selection of Salads, Seafood, Carved Meats, Pasta, Sides and Desserts! This is a great place for the little ones in your group, especially for Breakfast and Lunch!

Best Themed here in Hollywood Studios has to go to The Sci-Fi Cafe! There is nothing like walking into the darkened drive-in scene complete with B-Movies, the cars, the wait staff on roller skates even up to the stars in the sky! We love going here for lunch, nice darkened, relatively quiet spot out of the bright hot Florida sun! The burgers and Shakes are always  a hit for us with some yummy appetizers like the Spinach & Artichoke dip and the Onion Rings to fill us up! From kids to grandparents this place get two thumbs up!

Fan Favorite here in the Studios has to be the 50’s Prime Time Cafe~ Step back to the 50’s and bring your appetite and sense of humor. The theme is Mom’s kitchen from back in the 50’s. TV’s in the restaurant show black and white sitcoms like “Father Knows Best” and the original “Mickey Mouse Club,” which is really cool. The servers here will be your cousins, aunts, uncles or mom and they mean business when they say clean your plate, eat your veggies and most defiantly keep your elbows off the table (just ask my hubby who had to wear a Little Mermaid bib during dinner!) It’s all in good fun and adds to the unique experience. There are lots of 50’s knick-knacks and the dessert menu is on a View-master! The Fried Chicken and the Pot Roast here is delicious and PB & J Milkshake is out of this world!  They also offer a full service bar here with some really amazing drinks, I suggest the Magical Star Cocktail~

For Best Upscale Dining and if you feel the need to go a little “glamorous and dine with the stars”?  Then make your way to the Hollywood Brown Derby and take a step back in time to the way Tinseltown  looked in its heyday! The walls of this lovely restaurant are lined with caricatures of the Stars and the tables are covered in crisp white linens and rich, wood paneling is used throughout. It defiantly has an upscale ambiance with menu to match.  The Cobb Salad is amazing and the Grapefruit Cake is a delightful little slice of  goodness! If dining here on the Disney Dining Plan it will be 2 credits.

My Favorite Table Service in HS is hands down Mama Melrose’s!!! We love Mama’s for the quaint feel,  wood-burning ovens, brick walls, cozy booths and hardwood floors combined with overhead vines and lights to create an authentic and cozy atmosphere. All that said tho we come here for the food! Italian, Seafood, Pasta, Flat-breads, Steaks and more make this a family favorite. On our last trip we brought our friends for the first time and it was the “Favorite meal of the trip” by everyone! We did the Fantasmic! Dinner Package also on our last visit and really liked it, it was a three course meal as well as preferred seating at Fantasmic!  A win-win for sure.

*You can do the Fantasmic! Dinner Package at Mama Melrose’s, Brown Derby and Hollywood & Vine

From Character Buffets to Glitz and Glamour or to your Mom’s Kitchen, Little Italy and even Drive-In’s of the past, take your time and a break in your Hollywood Studios Day to have a wonderful table service meal, there is something here for everyone!

  1. I very much enjoy both The Brown Derby and Mamma Melro’s. I love the Brown Derby because it doesnt feel lile park food. They treated us fantasticly a few years ago when we went for my parents anniversary. The chef came out with each course and signed a menu for us. Mamma Melros is a great deal when on the dining plan. The steak and cheesecake are great! It, too, is a great escape from the park. Going for theire elatest lunch slot is a nice break from the busy day.
