Star Wars 'The Mandalorian' is 100x More Popular than the Average US Based TV Series

Star Wars ‘The Mandalorian’ is 100x More Popular than the Average US Based TV Series. A recent report of the most popular Disney+ series compared to averagely rated television series was released by Parrot Analytics and it turns out nothing comes close to the performance of Star Wars The Mandalorian on Disney+.

Carl Quintanilla of NBC News shared the statistics via Twitter along with the captioned quote, “Disney+ might as well rebrand as The Mandalorian Channel. -[Paul Kedrosky]”

It doesn’t come as a shock that Disney and Lucasfilm will be developing The Mandalorian story for as long as they can, but with the recent introduction of new and interesting characters along with the addition of beloved characters from the animated series and movies the studio has endless tales to share that audiences actually want to see come to fruition. Basically, The Mandalorian is in a Win-Win situation and it would be a shame for the studios not to capitalize on the high demand for quality storytelling and entertainment.

Currently, The Mandalorian series is said to already be approved for Season’s 3 and 4, with a high chance of  even more seasons come, as well as several rumored spin-off series. One such spin-off is said to be led by Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and Bo-Katan Kryze (Katie Sackhoff) and a high potential for another spin-off live-action series featuring Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) who is rumored to appear in the second half of Season 2 .

The Mandalorian season 2 will feature Din Djarin (Mando) and the Child continuing their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire. “The Mandalorian” stars Pedro Pascal, with guest stars Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Directors for the new season include Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, Peyton Reed and Robert Rodriguez. Showrunner Jon Favreau serves as executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson, with Karen Gilchrist serving as co-executive producer.
