Marvel fans are extremely hyped for the theatrical release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and now with the initial critic reviews in we have even more reason to be excited! The first 50 reviews had the movie listed at a perfect rating of 100%, but after a more diverse grouping of reviews the film is still hovering at a 98% rating. This currently puts No Way Home at one of the highest critic ratings in the MCU. A formal certified fresh rating will not be available until early next week after the premiere allows audiences to view the film.
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.“
The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, and Marisa Tomei all reprising their roles from the previous Spidey films, with Benedict Cumberbatch joining the fray as Doctor Strange (but maybe don’t call him “Stephen,” that’s weird). Joining the cast to reprise their roles as Spider-Man villains are Willem Dafoe, Jamie Foxx, and Alfred Molina. The film is directed by Jon Watts, and written by Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers; the film is produced by Kevin and Feige Amy Pascal, and executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, JoAnn Perritano, Rachel O’Connor, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach.
