Sony and Marvel Studios Attempt to Stop Scalpers from Selling 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Tickets for Insane Prices

Mere moments after tickets went on pre-sale for the upcoming film Spider-Man: No Way Home scalpers posted tickets for sale of resale sites such as eBay for thousands of dollars, with one posting of an undisclosed amount of tickets requesting $25,000 USD! Both Sony and Disney have quickly taken action to put a stop to these sales, but some tickets are still being listed at inflated prices, particularly for theaters in cities known to sell out quickly such as LA, NYC, and more.

One of the highest listings (still available at the time of writing) is a bulk set of 10 tickets for the LA premiere of No Way Home requesting $24,000 for the set on eBay. Most offerings requested several thousand dollars for 2-5 tickets before being removed, but replacement listings have been uploaded just as fast as the initial posts are being taken down.

The long-awaited sequel quickly crashed ticket-selling sites such as AMC, Fandango, Cinemark, and other popular ticket selling sites, as well as beating out every other Marvel title in trailer views to date. With predictions that the movie may even beat out Avengers: Endgame at the box office it comes as no surprise that scalpers are looking to profit off the fans who are waiting to get their tickets.
