According to Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, six Haitian delegates in the 2022 Special Olympics Games at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Walt Disney World have gone missing.
All of them turned in their room keys and left behind their personal bags and belongings. The six were last seen at the games’ venue at about 2:30 p.m. Monday, the sheriff’s office said.
“To expand the reach and effectiveness of law enforcement’s efforts to locate these individuals, they have been reported as missing persons.” “The reason for their departure from the Games is currently unknown,” the Special Olympics organizers released in a statement.

The reason why they left the Games is being investigated, but deputies do not believe foul play was involved.
A spokesperson with the Special Olympics told WESH 2 that five of the men are not Special Olympics athletes and one has an intellectual disability.
