Sigourney Weaver Confirmed to Appear in Future Avatar Sequel

Sigourney Weaver Confirmed to Appear in Future Avatar Sequel. Avatar fans are buzzing after a photo shared by the official Avatar page featured Sigourney Weaver and Joel David Moore on set to shoot scenes for the upcoming Avatar sequels. It is currently unknown which of the 4 sequels will feature the new footage, but we are excited to see an update none-the-less!

The photo was shared along with the caption: “From the set of the Avatar sequels: Producer Jon Landau, Sigourney Weaver, and Joel David Moore revisited the Site 26 Shack to shoot scenes from the new films.”

Obviously, the photo was taken before production was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we love getting a sneak peek at what is to come in the future flicks!

James Cameron and the casts and crews have actively been working on filming all four Avatar sequels at the same time. Making it harder for fans to guess what exactly will be happening within the stories, clearly we will be given some flashback sequences since it is widely known that Sigourney Weaver’s character, Dr. Grace Augustine, did not survive the events of the first film.

We can not wait to see what else is in store for the Avatar sequels! Currently, the films are slated to release in December 2021, 2023, 2025, 2027, but production delays may affect these dates.
