Shiny New Chrome Plating Arrives at The Magic of Disney Animation Marquee in Hollywood Studios

The glow-up continues at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as fresh new details have appeared on the reimagined entrance to The Magic of Disney Animation. New photos from bioreconstruct on X show shiny chrome-style metal paneling now being installed across the marquee canopy as the updated facade begins to sparkle under the Florida sun.

The latest construction progress reveals sleek metallic facing being added to the curved canopy structure beneath the iconic blue Sorcerer Hat cone. The reflective silver paneling gives the entrance a much cleaner and more modern appearance compared to the stripped-down construction facade seen in recent months.

Guests can also now clearly see newly installed “ANIMATION” lettering stretching across the front of the marquee. The updated letters pair with the fresh chrome plating to give the building a polished studio-premiere vibe, almost like the attraction entrance just rolled out onto a Hollywood red carpet.

The iconic Sorcerer Hat-inspired centerpiece remains the focal point of the structure, towering above the refreshed facade in bright Fantasia blue complete with white moon-and-star detailing.

An aerial overview from bioreconstruct also shows the broader refurbishment work continuing around the entrance area, including ongoing facade cleanup, canopy finishing work, and additional construction activity at ground level. Portions of the area remain behind construction walls while crews continue refining the updated look.

The Magic of Disney Animation is expected to become a major part of the reimagined Animation Courtyard area at Hollywood Studios as Disney continues refreshing and modernizing sections of the park.
