Shanghai Disneyland Resort closed due to Covid surge

Shanghai Disneyland has closed once again due to a surge in Covid-19 cases. The closure starts today, March 21, 2022.

Shanghai Disneyland Resort closed due to Covid surge

Last week Shanghai Disneyland began limiting capacity and suspended indoor shows due to the rising cases.

Covid-19 cases are surging to over 1500 per day in China right now. This is the worst wave in the country since the pandemic first started.

There is no set reopening date for the resort. The Shanghai Disneyland website says:

“We will continue to monitor the pandemic situation and consult local authorities, and will notify guests as soon as we have a confirmed date to resume operations.”
