Star Wars hotel

We can’t get enough good news about developing Star Wars attractions at Walt Disney World! Ever since the first rumor started about Galaxy’s Edge, we’ve been living in a Chewbacca-infused dream world. So when they announced that construction was going to start on a Star Wars hotel, we just about lost our minds. Here we finally have an aerial view of the progress on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

The construction site is in the Epcot Resort area near Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World, with plans for the hotel to be accessible from Galaxy’s Edge. Each stay will be an immersive 2-day, 2-night experience. It begins with a trip in a launch pod that blasts off to a galaxy far far away. The trip includes hands-on experience in navigation and defense with the crew, practice using a lightsaber, a debarkation at the Black Spire Outpost, and more. The name of the starcruiser is The Halcyon. Each cabin will feature its own window into space, guaranteeing a fantastic view for all guests. Many experiences and amenities onboard the starcruiser will be exclusive.

The cabins can be seen in the section on the left. Decks are visible at the building’s center. The Galactic Starcruiser is set to open to the public in 2021 with reservations opening later this year, so we can expect to see quick progress in the near future. This experience is a completely new way of experiencing Star Wars and has fans understandably excited.
