Season 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’ to Begin Filming This April

Season 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’ to Begin Filming This April. Though it was previously believed that The Mandalorian Season 3 would not begin filming until August, a new updates shares that the new season will actually begin filming much sooner! A new tweet, shared by Herb Scribner featured the updated production date for the new season beginning on April 5, 2021 in Los Angeles, CA.

Though the previously believed filming date would not have allowed Lucasfilm to finish the new season before the precedented winter release dates for Season 1 and 2 for the 2021 Holiday Season, pending the length of the season Lucasfilm may be able to wrap filming and production in time to edit Season 3 giving Star Wars fans a Life Day miracle and potentially premiering the new season before the end of 2021.

The Mandalorian was previously slotted to have already begun production, but was quickly pushed back after the announcement that the newly announced series, The Book of Boba Fett would be taking over said filming slot. Potentially, this was the plan the whole time by Lucasfilm to throw off the scent of scrapers, but we are happy to hear The Mandalorian Season 3 will begin sooner rather than later!
