The runDisney Virtual races have been going on for almost 7 years now and they are just as popular as ever. They are a great option for runners who can’t travel to Orlando, or maybe have some anxiety about running with a crowd. For the record, beginners can still join in-person races and not be ashamed. I’ve done it and it’s a blast! However, virtual runs have a lot of attraction, especially if you’re hoping to earn a medal without spending hours on a plane. You can even do it with a friend! And there are plenty of races to choose from.

Virtual runners can sign up for everything from a 5K to a Challenge, which includes three running events. They earn medals and participant shirts, just like in-person runners. Themes vary from “Springtime Surprise” to “Wine and Dine.” There is truly something for everyone!
