Rumored: Donald Glover to Reprise Role as Lando Calrissian for Mysterious Star Wars Disney+ Series

Rumored: Donald Glover to Reprise Role as Lando Calrissian for Mysterious Star Wars Disney+ Series. It appears Disney and Lucasfilm are looking to incorporate a young Lando Calrissian from Solo: A Star Wars Story in future Star Wars projects! According to Kessel Run Transmissions, Donald Glover is or has been in negotiations with Lucasfilm over the potential appearance of his character on a Disney+ series.

It is currently unknown if Glover will be getting his own series on the streaming platform or if he will join other stories such as the untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi series, potentially even be a part of the rumored Solo series for Disney+. Disney has yet to confirm nor deny the rumors surrounding the potential series, which usually means something is in the works down the pipe line, but we are patiently waiting for any confirmation about many of the other projects and Star Wars series coming soon to Disney+.

“In Solo: A Star Wars Story, a young Han Solo finds adventure when he joins forces with a gang of galactic smugglers and a 190-year-old Wookie named Chewbacca. Indebted to the gangster Dryden Vos, the crew devises a daring plan to travel to the mining planet Kessel to steal a batch of valuable coaxium. In need of a fast ship, Solo meets Lando Calrissian, the suave owner of the perfect vessel for the dangerous mission — the Millennium Falcon.”

Currently, Disney+ and Lucasfilm are actively working on The Mandalorian, the untitled Obi Wan Kenobi and Cassian Andor series, as well as a fourth and untitled series said to star a female protagonist, potentially during the High Republic Era of the Star Wars Universe. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Star Wars and Disney+!
