This week Disney shared a huge update regarding the Beauty and the Beast series coming to Disney+ and announced that singer-songwriter Rita Ora has joined the cast! The new update reads: “Set in the iconic kingdom of “Beauty and the Beast” years before Beast and Belle’s epic romance, the prequel series will follow Gaston and LeFou as they set off with LeFou’s stepsister, Tilly, after a surprising revelation from her past comes to light, sending the unlikely trio off on an unexpected journey filled with romance, comedy and adventure. While the mysteries of the past are uncovered and the dangers of the present grow, old friends and new enemies reveal that this familiar kingdom harbors many secrets. Acclaimed singer-songwriter Rita Ora joins the previously announced cast that includes Josh Gad, Luke Evans, Briana Middleton, Fra Fee and Jelani Alladin. Ora will star as a fugitive with surprising abilities who carries with her a secret that could potentially affect an entire kingdom.“

Rita excitedly confirmed the news via social media by posting some celebratory photos along with the caption, “I can’t keep the secret any longer! I’m beyond excited to be joining the cast of the Beauty and the Beast prequel series! As a child, I remember watching Beauty and the Beast with my family over and over and immediately falling in love with the music and characters.“
