Jungle Cruise and Toy Story Midway Mania Reopening Dates Announced
Get ready to set sail and sharpen your aim! Disneyland Resort has officially confirmed the return of two fan-favorite experiences: Jungle Cruise at Disneyland Park and Toy Story Midway Mania! at Disney California Adventure. Whether you’re craving world-famous skipper puns or a rematch at the boardwalk games, the wait is almost over to step back into these iconic adventures.

The world-famous Jungle Cruise is almost ready to set sail again! After beginning its refurbishment on February 17, 2026, the riverboats are scheduled to return to the waterways of Adventureland on April 24, 2026. Recent sightings at the attraction revealed fresh paint and updated texture work, ensuring the jungle looks as lush as ever for its grand return.
As one of the few remaining opening-day landmarks from July 17, 1955, the Jungle Cruise remains a cornerstone of the Disneyland experience. Guests board slow-moving tramp steamers for a legendary expedition through the dense, exotic environments of Asia, Africa, and South America.
The heart of the journey is, of course, the Skipper. These brave explorers lead the way with a mix of scripted puns and quick-witted improvisation, guiding you past animatronic wildlife, the “Backside of Water,” and the hilariously ill-fated expeditions that have made this attraction a fan favorite for over 70 years.

Get your practice aim ready—Toy Story Midway Mania! is set to rejoin the games on April 24, 2026. After a brief closure that began on April 6, the attraction is returning just in time for the spring rush at Disney California Adventure.
The boardwalk favorite was most recently refreshed in May 2025, introducing special “holographic sticker” targets and celebratory graphics as part of the ongoing Disneyland 70th Anniversary festivities. Fans should make it a priority to rack up points on these limited-edition targets soon; with the 70th Celebration scheduled to wrap up on August 9, 2026, the attraction is expected to revert to its classic version shortly after.
