Hallmark has just announced a recall for their Disney “Itty Bittys Baby” animal stacking toys. The recall states that the rattling rings on the Disney plush toys have fabric hats and bows that may become detached and pose a choking hazard.
Around 5,800 toys in the United States and 200 in Canada are affected by this recall. Hallmark has already received one report of the bow on one of the plush toys falling off. Thankful, no injury was reported due to the incident.
The toys were sold at Hallmark Gold Crown Stores, online at Hallmark.com, and on Amazon.com from June 2016 to July 2017. They retailed for around $30.00. They sit 10 inches by 7.5 inches by 9.5 inches, have a yellow base stand, and four rattling rings with Mickey and friends that slide off the post.
If you happen to have purchased one of these toys, make sure to take it away from any children immediately. You are also advised to contact Hallmark at 800-425-5627 from 9 am to 8 pm EST Monday through Friday. You can also click on the product recalls section at the bottom of the page on Hallmark.com for more information. Customers will receive a $40 Hallmark Gold Crown Gift Card as compensation.
