Richard Gerth Disney’s Grand Floridian Greeter passed away at 12 am on June 7th, 2018. Richard recently fell ill with pneumonia and was placed under hospice care before passing.

Richard was loved by all, his smiling face when you entered Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort made you feel like you were home.

Many families and couples would stop by and get a photo with Richard, especially on their wedding day. His congratulations and words of encouragement were most welcome to everyone.

Our thoughts and prayers go out with his family. Richard will be greatly missed.

There is a special Facebook page devoted to Richard, you can find it here.

Fans petitioned Disney to create a Memorial for Richard after his passing.
