We recently reported that Primeval Whirl at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be permanently closing. Guests at the park can now see the ride cars have been removed from the track.
Primeval Whirl opened in Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2002 and was a steel Wild Mouse roller coaster. It was part of Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama located in DinoLand U.S.A. It had cars that spin in circles while traveling on tracks, permitting the ride experience to vary greatly each time it is ridden. Last year Disney announced that the attraction would operate on a seasonal basis.
Disney has confirmed that the ride will not reopen but they have yet to announce what might replace it. We will be interested to see what new experience comes to the park!
