The last remaining Lost Continent attraction at Islands of Adventure, Poseidon’s Fury, will close permanently on May 9.
Sad news, Poseidon’s Fury fans-the classic walk-through attraction at Islands of Adventure will be closing permanently on May 9.

Poseidon’s Fury is the last remaining Lost Continent attraction at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Lost Continent was previously home to 4 unique attractions: Dueling Dragons roller coaster (which closed to make way for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure), The Flying Unicorn (now The Flight of the Hippogriff), The 8th Voyage of Sinbad (a show which closed in 2018), and Poseidon’s Fury.
Poseidon’s Fury is a walkthrough special-effects experience that invites guests to venture through the ruins of the ancient Temple of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea. The tour does not go according to plan, however, and guests find themselves caught in a colossal battle between Poseidon and the evil Lord Darkennon. Fireballs, lasers, and water effects bring the action to life.

The attraction just re-opened in March 2022 after a two-year closure and also underwent a refurbishment in February 2023. No details have been released yet on what will be replacing Poseidon’s Fury.
