This is another step in the transformation of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs. Planet Hollywood is going to transform into a 4 story stargazing observatory set to debut in spring 2016. The Planet Hollywood Observatory will be centrally located and will overlook Downtown Disney. The Observatory’s exterior will share the Disney Springs turn-of-the-century design, while the interior’s refurbished upholstery, spherical planet-shaped lighting fixtures adorn the dining room.
It will have an expanded outdoor terrace and bar. You will be invited to “Dine Amongst the Stars”. The menu will be updated. A new beverage menu will feature a variety of milkshakes, smoothies, wines, bottled and draft beers, as well as cocktails served in specialty glassware to cater. There will also be an outdoor bar, called Stargazers, a lounge, a new merchandise line, and a host of all-star celebrity partnerships.
We just ate there and loved it. Do you think Planet Hollywood needs an update?
Wishing you Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust

I have dined there 4 or 5 times but not recently. Food was only moderately good. The dessert was a very tall waffle type cone that stood 8 inches tall surrounding a brownie, ice cream and chocolate shavings. Quite impressive looking.
awesome! I can’t wait to eat in the new Planet Hollywood Observatory for next year!
Wow so they stole the idea I had for dining under the stars observatory from 5 years ago. Nice!
We have eaten here a few times as mostly a ‘we’re hungry where can we eat without a reservation’. It’s not terrible, but it is also not very memorable. Of the three times Ive eaten there I only remember the manicotti because it had bits of chicken in it that I was not expecting as I did not read the description. Saw manicotti and stopped there.
