Pedro Pascal Posts Supportive Photo for Gina Carano to Instagram. In case you didn’t know, The Mandalorian star Gina Carano has been in hot water with folks on the internet after sharing her personal views on masking up and other hot button issues these days with many calling for her firing from Star Wars The Mandalorian, but Carano has also seen plenty of support from friends and fans alike.
Carano herself shared artwork from Star Wars fan Madison Thames along with the caption, “Aww @madisonthames.art this is ???.. I see your kind words pop up here & there & it is always so kind & encouraging. Thank you!! I might just buy a couple of these shirts!! Very cool. ? #IStandWithYou ? #SpreadLoveNotHate #Repost @madisonthames.art”
This week, The Mandalorian co-star Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin/Mando) shared another piece of fan art also shared by Carano that featured Din and Cara embracing in a hug along with the simple caption, “Friendship. #ThisIsTheWay Artist: @cranitys”
In the entertainment industry it’s not uncommon for studios to issue “gag orders” or restrictions on topics, especially after controversial or hot topic statements are made by cast or crew members of films and television alike. Though there is no public knowledge of Lucasfilm or Disney restricting any of the cast or crew of The Mandalorian, the studios have not made any statements regarding the issue and the cast has been rather quiet regarding the issue until Pascal’s “less is more” show of solidarity for Gina.
Regardless of anyone’s stance on Gina’s comments, it is nice to see Pascal supporting his co-star when others have turned a blind eye so easily in the past. Currently, The Mandalorian series is said to already be approved for Season’s 3 and 4, with a high chance of even more seasons come, as well as several rumored spin-off series. One such spin-off is said to be led by Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and Bo-Katan Kryze (Katie Sackhoff) and a high potential for another spin-off live-action series featuring Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) who is rumored to appear in the second half of Season 2.
The Mandalorian season 2 will feature Din Djarin (Mando) and the Child continuing their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire. “The Mandalorian” stars Pedro Pascal, with guest stars Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Directors for the new season include Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, Peyton Reed and Robert Rodriguez. Showrunner Jon Favreau serves as executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson, with Karen Gilchrist serving as co-executive producer.
