Since Walt Disney World reopened last summer, parades have been a thing of the past. To keep guests and cast members safe, Disney replaced parades with smaller character cavalcades. While those are cute and entertaining, we still miss Disney’s classic parades!
Now, as the holidays inch closer, we know at least one parade will be returning to Walt Disney World soon! Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will return to Magic Kingdom for the holidays.
The guest-favorite holiday parade will return to the park during the new Disney Very Merriest After Hours event. This event is replacing the usual Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and will take place on select nights this November and December.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will be the first parade in Walt Disney World since the parks closed due to the pandemic. Mickey Mouse will be joined by Minnie, characters from Frozen, Toy Soldiers, and even Santa himself! This holiday parade is just brimming with joy and magic.
If you’d like to experience the holiday parade, tickets to Disney Very Merriest After Hours will go on sale on August 17 for guests staying at select Disney Resort hotels and August 20 for everyone else.
