Moonlight Magic is returning in 2024! The Disney Vacation Club member benefit is coming back next year. This perk offers DVC members complimentary, exclusive after-hours access to the parks on select days.
During a Moonlight Magic event, eligible Members can visit a select theme park for a special celebration after the park has closed to the public! Enjoy an evening of enchantment, entertainment and so much more as the park becomes your playground.

In order to allow as many Members as possible to enjoy Moonlight Magic, only one event date for each participating park will be available per Membership. A Member can register themselves and up to 4 additional guests per Membership (for a total of 5) —or up to the number of Guests on their Resort reservation. Children younger than 3 years of age do not need to be registered for this event.

Giant Galapagos Tortoises Celebrate National Pumpkin Day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Happy National Pumpkin Day! The Giant Galapagos Tortoises at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are celebrating the holiday with a delicious and nutritious snack prepared by Disney’s animal nutritionists.
Introducing Phantom, Dracula, Mummy, Frankenstein, Wolfman, and Creature. These inhabitants of Discovery Island are actually herbivores with a penchant for devouring an array of plants and fruits. They have a particular fondness for feasting on pumpkins meticulously carved by their caretakers and graciously provided by the Animal Nutrition team.
Every day, Disney’s team of animal nutritionists meticulously craft personalized diets for over 5,000 birds, mammals, reptiles, and fish throughout Walt Disney World. This commitment to providing top-tier nutrition is an integral aspect of Disney’s comprehensive animal wellness initiative. Whether it’s the majestic hippos or the smallest of spiders, the dedicated staff at the Animal Nutrition Center serve as culinary artisans for the beloved animals. They expertly manage a staggering daily food supply of over 10,000 pounds, which interestingly mirrors the weight of an adult African elephant!
And they’re getting into the Halloween spirit by delivering over 200 pumpkins to animals across Walt Disney World to ensure a wide variety of species get to participate in the festive fall fun.

New murals have been added to The Magic of Disney Store at the Orlando International Airport
The Magic of Disney Store at Orlando International Airport, located on Level 3 of Terminals A/B, provides a great way to kick off your Walt Disney World vacation or grab a last-minute Disney souvenir as your trip comes to an end. The store has yet another great reason to stop and browse: two new murals have been added!
The two new murals feature the ‘Fab 5’ Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofey, Donald Duck, Daisey Duck, and Pluto in the updated animation style.
There are two murals to view, one depicting Mickey and friends starting a fun-filled day at the Magic Kingdom, and another showing the group ending the day with Fireworks in front of Cinderella Castle.

The Disney Skyliner will be closing in early 2024 for routine maintenance
The Disney Skyliner is a great way to move around the Walt Disney World resort, especially for those staying at one of the resorts on the Skyliner route. If you are planning a stay at Walt Disney World in early 2024 at one of these resorts, however, you may find yourself unable to use the Skyliner as it is set to go down for annual maintenance.
Annual maintenance is obviously required to ensure the Skyliner continues to function well, refurbishments can be made to any cosmetic defects and routine repairs can be completed. The Disney Skyliner is slated to close on January 16, 2024, and will remain closed through January 21, 2024.
The Disney Skyliner connects Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at EPCOT to the following Disney Resort hotels:
Resorts that utilize the Skyliner for transportation to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT will provide bus transportation during the closure. Note that while the Skyliner is slated to re-open on January 21, any delays encountered during the refurbishment can result in the closure being extended.

Come 2025, all four of Disney’s majestic ships – the Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, Disney Dream, and Disney Magic – are primed to whisk passengers on three- to five-night jaunts from Florida to Disney’s Bahamian treasures. While the Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish will embark from Port Canaveral, voyages aboard the Disney Dream and Disney Magic will originate from Fort Lauderdale. Walt Disney World has released the 2024 Active Dute and Retired Military Members Discounts
In the magical realm of Walt Disney World, heroes of every kind are celebrated, especially the real-life heroes who’ve dedicated their lives to serving our country. The 2024 Active and Retired Military Members Discounts have just been released, and members and veterans of the military will want to check them out!
For visits in 2024, active and retired US military members can now choose between a 4-Day, 5-Day, or 6-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket. These promotional tickets are up for grabs with either the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus options.
Ticket Breakdown:
6-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket: Purchase this dream deal now through December 15, 2024. The ticket with Park Hopper is priced at $409 plus tax and with Park Hopper Plus at $439 plus tax.
5-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket: Available for purchase until December 16, 2024. You can get the Park Hopper for $389 plus tax and the Park Hopper Plus for $419 plus tax.
4-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket: Seal the deal by December 17, 2024. The Park Hopper option comes at $369 plus tax, and the Park Hopper Plus is at $399 plus tax.
Your magical memories can be woven any day from January 1, 2024, to December 20, 2024, barring a few blockout dates, namely March 24, 2024, through April 6, 2024, and November 24, 2024, through November 30, 2024.

Walt Disney World is not just a park; it’s a world. With the Park Hopper Option, after 2:00 PM, you’re free to visit more than one theme park on the same day. Starting January 9, 2024, guests with Park Hopper benefits can visit another theme park at any time during park hours, provided there’s capacity.
And if you’re looking for more, the Park Hopper Plus Option offers visits to a water park, golf course, or miniature golf course depending on the length of your ticket.
Room discounts are also available for eligible Active Duty and Retired military members for stays ranging from January 1, 2024, to December 20, 2024. Some Disney Resort hotels and room types are not part of this promotion, such as The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.
These offers are open to active or retired US military personnel, including active or retired members of the National Guard, Reservists, the US Coast Guard, the US Space Force, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
